Other Safety Services

Beyond CPR Training:

Other Services we provide to complete your Health and Safety Program.

1) Instructor On-Site Q&A:

  • This service assigns an SES Instructor to be at your location for one-on-one Refresher training and/or practice.
  • This service can be used for CPR, AED, Oxygen, BBP or First Aid certified students.
  • An Instructor will be on-site for 6 hours, with 1 hour allotted for lunch.
  • After the On-Site, a de-briefing meeting will be held with the client contact person.
    • This may be the same day or scheduled as a phone call for another time.
    • The purpose of this is to summarize where strengths and/or weaknesses may be in the skill set of your staff.
    • We will also be able to gauge interest in other training beyond what was initially provided.
    • Based upon our findings, we may or may not recommend additional training services.
  • This service is only available to clients who have already had training within the prior 18 months.
  • This service is not a substitution for a certification course. Therefore, no certifications will be awarded.

2) CPR/AED Emergency RPE (Role-Play-Exercise)

  • This service will present your staff with a simulated Cardiac Emergency.
  • The purpose is to test the student’s knowledge and retention of training topics.
  • Typically, this service is staged as a seminar. An SES Instructor Team will arrive at your site to host a presentation. During this presentation, someone will have a Cardiac Emergency or will be made aware of an emergency. The attendees will be required to act and show what they would do.
  • This scenario is often coordinated with any Safety and Security Departments that may already be on-site.
    • This advance coordination enables the Security team to be aware that a staged event will be occurring.
    • Security or Safety may also participate in the exercise.
      • Oftentimes, they may be used to either have the Cardiac Emergency or raise the alarm.
    • The RPE presents a unique opportunity to test employee knowledge of in-house emergency procedures (such as activating on-site Security or calling certain supervisors or making general announcements).
  • A Post-event Debriefing will be held.
  • This may occur either immediately following the RPE or in a follow-up phone call.
  • This may be combined with First Aid and/or Oxygen use if SES has provided this training to the staff.
  • In order to guard against the Emergency Response System being activated, an SES Instructor will volunteer to make the emergency call.
    • If we are testing an internal system (I.e. dialing 9 for an outside line), the Instructor will ask for direction.

3) First Aid Emergency RPE (Role-Play-Exercise)

  • This service will present your staff with a First Aid Emergency.
    • The severity of the emergency will vary and is at the sole discretion of SES.
    • Moulage may be used in order to simulate bleeding, laceration or other injuries.
  • The purpose is to test the student’s knowledge and retention of training topics.
  • Typically, this service is staged as a seminar or Q&A session. An SES Instructor Team will arrive at your site to host a presentation or have a Q&A session. During this time, a staged First Aid Emergency will occur and your staff will be called upon to take charge.
  • This scenario is often coordinated with Safety and Security Departments that may already be onsite.
    • While the First Aid RPE is typically less intense than a CPR RPE, we have found that having the Security and Safety Staff aware of the situation is helpful.
    • If you desire to test your Safety and/or Security Staff, we would advise limiting the advance knowledge to need-to-know.
  • A Post-event Debriefing will be held.
    • This may occur either immediately following the RPE or in a follow-up phone call.
  • This may be combined with CPR/AED RPE if SES has provided this training to the staff.
  • In order to guard against the Emergency Response System being activated, an SES Instructor will volunteer to make the emergency call.
  • If we are testing an internal system (I.e. dialing 9 for an outside line), the Instructor will ask for direction.

4) Informational Seminars

  • SES is available to conduct Informational Seminars on a variety of Safety and Health Topics.
  • Some available topics are:
    • Health Emergencies: What do they look like and what should I do?
